To help defer the costs of keeping my website on the internet, I create and sell teaching aids/learning games for preschools and child care centers as well as teachers, parents, and other caregivers.  The games can be played individually or in groups and/or put out as learning center activities.  They can serve as door prizes at conferences/workshops, and they make great gifts for (or from) teachers.  AND SHIPPING IS FREE!

MONEY SAVING TIP: Instead of using expensive lamination to cover my card sets, use plastic photograph pockets which can be removed from photo albums or bought as album inserts.  The 4 x 6" pockets fit the 4 x 6" cards perfectly, and I've seen even smaller inserts at Wal-Mart.  (Thrift stores are also great places to find photo albums/inserts).  The best thing about this form of lamination is that you can use the pockets over and over again replacing one set of cards with another, depending on the unit you're doing, and they won't turn yellow like contact paper.  For firmer backing, insert a 3 x 5 or 4 x 6 piece of cardboard into the pockets. 

Another Tip: If you've purchased my Pre-Math booklet and have made the "pegboard" mentioned in that booklet, you can punch holes into some of the card sets for use on the pegboard.

*Dog and Cat Sorting Cards: Ten cat and ten dog picture cards for children to sort into the two categories.  Set includes 20 picture cards, 2 category cards, title card, and suggested activity card.

*Land, Sea, Air Animal Sorting Cards: Ten animal picture cards for each category of "land, sea, and air."  Children sort animals according to whether they walk, swim, or fly.  Set includes 30 picture cards, 3 category cards, title card, and suggested activity card.

*Dinosaur Sorting Cards: Includes 5 each of 6 different types of dinosaurs all in the same color shade (that's 30 dinosaur picture cards), title card, and suggested activity card.  Children sort them by placing all dinosaurs that are "alike" together.

*Helper Chart Cards: These cards are for your "Helper Charts."  There's a total of 12 helpers but I didn't create them for necessarily using all at the same time -- if you're like me, sometimes helper jobs change from year to year.  So, I created cards for all helpers I can remember using over the years:  
Flag Holder: Holds flag during pledge (card graphic: American flag)
Calendar Helper: Helps teacher with today's date (places number on calendar, etc.) (card graphic: calendar)
Weather Helper: Places appropriate weather picture on weather chart, etc (card graphics: sun and clouds)
Door Holder: Holds door open for class as they enter or exit room (card graphic: door) 
Snack Helper: Passes out cups, napkins, etc. (card graphics: broccoli, carrot, and orange segments)
Garbage Helper: Keeps watch throughout the day and reminds others if they leave trash behind (like during snack or art projects) (card graphic: waste basket)
Little Caboose: Goes purposely to the end of the line to oversee others and remind them of things like not running on sidewalk, etc.  (This gives that last person in line the feeling of being important) (card graphic: train caboose)
Clean-up Helper: Rings bell to announce clean-up time (card graphic: two children sweeping up)
Line Leader: The first child in line (card graphic: row of 5 multi-cultural children's faces)
Light Helper: Flips light switch on or off as needed during day (card graphic: light switch)
Plant Helper: Waters classroom plant (card graphics: plant and watering can)
Pet Helper: Feeds or helps care for classroom pet (card graphic: fish)

*Weather Cards: These cards are for your weather charts.  When your "weather helper" comes forward to do his/her job for the day, they will have 12 picture cards from which to choose: wind, snowflake, gray cloud, umbrella, raindrops, lightning, blue clouds, sun and clouds together, smiling sun, sunglasses, mittens, and a tree (that you can cover with waxed or tracing paper to represent "fog").  You will also find two "weather word" card sets so that you can hang a weather word on your chart and the child can find the matching word card and hang it atop yours (the words are: sunny, cloudy, windy, foggy, rainy, and snowy).  Notes for creating a very simple "Today's Weather" chart are included.  (Waxed/tracing paper not included)

*Item 8A: Ghosts & Jack-O-Lanterns: Two Halloween matching games that can also be used as memory games.  (You will cut out small cards along perforated lines): 
>"Ghosts" game consists of 2 sets of 6 ghosts (12 total), all white with blue eyes.  To play, children match the faces of one set to the faces of the other.  Each ghost approximatley 3½ x 2½" in size -- just right for children's hands  
>"Jack-O-Lanterns" game consists of 2 sets of 6 jack-o-lantern cards.  Again, children match the faces.  Each card 2" x 2½" -- again, sized for children's hands.  Title card and activity card included (14 cards total).  Printed out on 8½ x 11" card stock. Price: $5.00

*Item 9A: Halloween Cards: Two sets "Halloween theme" picture cards (24 cards) (you cut cards out along perforated lines).  Children match the pictures from one set to ones in the other set, or it can be used as a memory game.  Cards are 2½ x 2" in size.  Title card and activity card included (26 total).  Printed out on 8½ x 11" card stock.  Price: $4.00

*Item 10A: Food Match Game: In this food-picture game, children match a "part" to a "whole" (piece of pizza to the whole pizza, apple core to apple, piece of bread to loaf, etc).  There are 2 game board cards divided into 9 squares.  Each square has a "whole" food picture in it.  You will cut out eighteen 2½ x 2" cards that have a picture of a "piece" of food on them for children to "pair-up" with the whole foods on the game boards.  Printed out on 8½ x 11" card stock.  Price: $4.75

*Item 11A: Wacky Animals ABC Cards: Bright colorful large 8½ x 11" sized ABC cards with animal graphics (printed out in Block Style on 110 lb heavy-duty card stock).  On each card, I've printed a silly tongue-twister sentence using the letter's sound.  By repeating the sentences with you, children practice phonics.  Can also be used for letter recognition activities. Although there are 26 letters in the alphabet, I've created two cards each for these letters (a, c, e, g, i, o, u, and x) so that I could provide two different phonic sounds in the form of silly sentences.  For example, I include a card that has a sentence using the soft sound of "C" and another card using the hard "C' sound.  35 cards total (including title card).  Perfect for holding up at Group Time, as learning center activity, and/or you can post them on your classroom wall.  Price: $21.75

*Item 13A: Holiday Memory Game: Two sets of matching holiday related picture cards (Christmas, Easter, Hanukkah, Martin Luther King Day, Thanksgiving, Columbus Day, Halloween, Fourth of July, President's Day, Valentine's Day).  10 cards in each set (size 2½ x 2" that you cut out along perforated lines).  Can also be used as simple matching game.  22 cards total (including activity card and title card).  Printed out on 8½ x 11" card stock.  Price: $4.00

*Item 14A: Snowflake Lotto: Consists of 4 game board cards, 8½ x 11" in size.  All the game boards have 9 picture squares on them with a "snowflake" in each square.  Two of the gameboards have snowflakes in various colors, while the other 2 are more challenging because the snowflakes are all the same color (blue) which forces the child to match the snowflake designs rather than color match.  There are matching picture cards for all the game board cards (you will simply cut them out along perforated lines).  Great game for placing in learning center during "winter" unit.  Can also be used as simple matching game.  Printed out on 8½ x 11" card stock.  Price: $6.50

*Item 15A: Sunny Face Lotto: Consists of 4 game board cards, 8½ x 11" in size.  All the game boards have 9 picture squares on them with a "happy face sun" in each square.  Two of the game boards have "suns" with different "rays" or "rings," while the other 2 are more challenging because the "rings" are all the same, but the smiles are different.  There are matching picture cards for all the game board cards (you will simply cut them out along perforated lines).  Great game for placing in learning center during "feelings" or "summer" unit.  Can also be used as simple matching game.  Printed out on 8½ x 11" card stock.  Price: $6.50
