Stormie, Here is a lesson plan I'm demonstrating to my college students.  I used a Madeline Hunter format because it is the most universal and easiest for me to explain.  When I teach this lesson to my students I will also be giving them a copy of the Fairy Tale unit plan from your site (of which I will also be giving you credit and the web site address).

I. Behavioral Objective
The students will demonstrate an understanding of one to one correspondence by finding a match to their slipper.  This will be done with at least 100% accuracy

II. Introduction
The teacher will begin by reading a version of "Cinderella".  As the teacher is reading she will review the story with the students.

III. Materials Needed
1. web page http://www.preschoolbystormie.com/fairytales.htm
2. Version of "Cinderella"
3. White cut outs of pumpkin, Cinderella, mice, etc.
4. Colorful cut outs of carriage, dress, horsemen, etc.
5. Pairs of slippers for every two students

IV. Procedure
1. The teacher will gather the students together in the reading area.
2. The teacher will begin talking about the story the children will be listening to during reading time.
3. The teacher will then read a version of "Cinderella".
4. As the teacher is reading the story, she will ask what happens in the story.
5. When the story is complete the teacher will ask the children what things were "magically" turned by Cinderella's godmother.  As the children are saying those things the teacher will put up the white cutouts.
6. Then the teacher will review with the students what each item became after Cinderella's godmother used her wand .
7. The teacher will show that each thing on the board has a matching "partner".  Using one-to-one correspondence the teacher, along with the children, will match the items that go together.
8. The teacher will then give each student a slipper.
9. The students will work together to find the person who has the matching slipper by using the skill of one-to-one correspondence.
10. After finding their partner the students will sit back down.
11. Then the students will share who they found and show others their pair of slippers.
12. The teacher will assess the skill by observing the students as they are finding their partners and sharing with the group.

V. Closure
After each pair of students have shared their slipper combinations the teacher will ask the students how else they could match things one to one.

Extensions:
Art - Give the pair of students a big sheet of white paper.  Have them glue their slippers at the bottom and then create a picture of Cinderella from shoes up.
Cognitive Development - Collect slippers and store them in a box or bag.  Use this as a center where kids can go to play a memory game by turning the shoes over to the white side.  The students are to take turns turning up two slippers at a time trying to find its partner.

I. Behavioral Objective (Your objective should be able to be observed.  Using “action words” will help.)

II. Introduction (How will you prepare the children for the lesson?  How will you introduce the lesson to the children and motivate their interest?)

III. Materials Needed (List all the materials that you need for the lesson)

IV. Procedure (This is a step by step plan of how you are going to present you lesson)

V. Closure (This is how you come back to your objective and summarize with the children what they have learned)
