Simply print uppercase letters of the alphabet on large index cards and then add simple drawings to some of them.  As the year progresses and children begin to recognize the letters, use the same quotes but hold up letter cards without any of the added drawings.

Although this game is uppercase letter recognition, remember to sound out the letters too  (phonics).
