SPECIAL
DAYS: Easter Egg Hunt/Party:
From Stormie:
Although I'm posting ideas below as often
as I can, my very favorite activities (many of which fit this special day) can
be found in my "EASTER"
booklet (see the "Stormie's Stuff for Teachers" section
of my website).
Instead of a using real eggs for your "Hunt": Ask parents to send six plastic eggs to school with their child that have been filled with little "secret" goodies (candies, stickers, tiny toy trinkets, etc). During the "hunt," all children collect six eggs.
Easy Party Cake: Make a simple cake with green frosting. Turn the top into an Easter Egg Hunt scene by adding green coconut for grass with jellybean eggs.
For Party Sandwiches: Cut the bread into Easter-theme shapes using cookie cutters.
On party day, go on an Easter parade around the school or down the street wearing Easter bonnets (girls) and crowns (boys).
By the way, when you have volunteers hiding eggs for your hunt, remind them that the children are only 4yrs old -- eggs shouldn't be totally hidden.
Please
share your ideas too. E-mail me at stormie@preschoolbystormie.com .
How do you do your Easter Egg Hunt? Or
do you do something else entirely?
