I, Stormie, am a huge New Age music fan. I find it incredibly
relaxing and so, obviously, I feel it's perfect for those needed "calming
down" times in the classroom as well. There are many wonderful
New Age artisits but my personal favorites are Enya, Yanni, and
Ed Van Fleet.
New Age is often the preferred listening
music of "nature lovers." That's me big time! Again,
based on my own experiences, I feel that New Age music is great in the classroom
when the theme is "our beautiful earth."
The electronic keyboard is often used in New Age music.
Couple Spring-Related
Ideas:
*On a warm rainy day, play
some New Age music in the background with the lights off and windows open and
allow everyone to just rest on the carpet while listening and watching the rain.
*Play New Age music while children paint
white clouds on blue paper.
CD Suggestions
